ABC Vancouver
Mayoral candidate: Ken Sim
Its September platform pledges a 2027 property-tax freeze and stronger public-drug restrictions. The September 28 family plan adds childcare, recreation and infrastructure commitments; it does not settle the conditional tax-versus-service-cut question.
Voting record · ABC housing decisions
Selected decisions from the 2022–2026 term · checked 15 September 2026. This is an initial review, not a complete term score.
Housing permissions
- 14 September 2023 · Multiplex housing: ABC members supported the approval package allowing additional homes in low-density residential zones. Read the minutes.
- 11 March 2026 · Official Development Plan: Sim, Dominato, Kirby-Yung, Klassen, Meiszner and Zhou supported the final amended motion. Montague was absent. Fry, Maloney and Orr also supported it; Bligh was ineligible. Minutes · vote 11475.
Public and supportive housing
- 26 February 2025 · Supportive-housing pause: Sim, Kirby-Yung, Klassen, Meiszner, Montague and Zhou supported pausing City land or funding contributions for net-new homelessness-response supportive housing, with exceptions. Dominato opposed, alongside Fry and Bligh. The exceptions included replacement projects and several other categories; this was not a ban on all supportive housing. Minutes · vote 10544.
- 9 December 2025 · Social Housing Initiative: All seven current ABC members opposed clauses A–D, including proposed permissions for social housing. They supported clause E, directing work on faster approvals through the existing SHORT program. Fry, Maloney and Orr voted the opposite; Bligh was absent. Minutes · votes 11190–11195.
Affordability requirements
The West End floor-area changes and development-viability package still need clause-by-clause review. We have not scored this category.
Our reading: These examples support a qualified housing-growth placement, with a different approach to social and supportive housing. Dominato’s dissent shows why an individual councillor’s record can differ from the party’s broad placement.
Coverage limit: The downloaded City dataset spans 7 November 2022 to 21 April 2026: 23,387 individual member-vote records across 2,164 vote numbers. Later decisions require separate meeting records. Absence and ineligibility are not opposition. Amendments, procedural votes and final approvals are distinct; a “yes” is not automatically a vote for more housing. Bligh was elected with ABC but later left; her later votes are not attributed to ABC.

COPE
No mayoral candidate affiliated with this party on the checked City list.
The September 28 platform commits to City-owned affordable housing, new co-ops on City land and funded peer-assisted crisis teams. Broader zoning, bus lanes, taxation and low-barrier housing interpretations remain optional estimates where the exact question is not settled.

Green Party of Vancouver
Mayoral candidate: Pete Fry
The full September platform supports four- to six-storey homes, affordability before maximum City-land returns, publicly owned housing bonds, co-op expansion and non-police CROW response. Some transit, traffic and supportive-housing conditions remain estimates; current station-area height comparisons remain gaps.

TEAM for a Livable Vancouver
Mayoral candidate: Colleen Hardwick
Current plans propose repealing major growth and transit-area plans, retaining RT zoning and restricting multiplexes, alongside co-op housing and local speed bumps. Several zoning and land-pricing directions are estimates; public land support does not establish City ownership of homes. Its recovery plan remains separately qualified.
